I had no idea that Rand’s The Fountainhead had been made into a movie in 1949.
In any event, it’s on Turner Classic Movies tonight on Comcast, and despite the fact that I should be going to bed, I’m going to stay up and watch the second half of the movie.

Be warned, it’s quite, um, 1949. Patricia Neal, whom I actually think was an incredible actress, was gawdawful in it. I’m not a Cooper expert or fan, but I once read a revie that called him “wooden” in this movie. Not inaccurate.
OTOH, I thought the guy playing Toohey was very good.
