Running Update

Since I began keeping track, on December 11, I’ve run over 53 miles. Not bad for the middle of the holiday season, and coupled with the 4 hours of snowboarding I did on Saturday afternoon, I’ve burned over 7000 calories, which equates to a little over 2lbs of fat loss. …Tonight, my right knee told me that at 216 pounds, 7.5 miles was too far to run. Some ramblings about Iraq (kind of)

Ehren Watada, facing a court martial for refusing deployment orders to Iraq, via Kevin Sites, Yahoo!: I think that when we take an oath we, as soldiers and officers, swear to protect the constitution — with our lives as necessary — and those constitutional values and laws that make us free and make us a democracy.
