Saudi Arabia – Trusted Allies
In other, less amusing news, bowing to international pressure (i.e., Washington) the Saudis are agreeing to review the sentence of 200 lashes, meted out by the enlightened Sharia justice system to a 19-year old girl found guilty of riding in a car with a male who was not her brother or her husband. One hopes that they will commute this abomination in light of the extra-judicial 7-man gang-rape she has already suffered for her “crime.”
The plea for clemency is directed at the Saudi crown. The very same Saudi crown which recently
[R]eleased 1,500 members of Al Qaeda from prison, requiring them only to promise to refrain from jihad within the Arabian Peninsula.
Within the Arabian Peninsula? What about the REST OF THE FUCKING WORLD? Trusted Allies, indeed.
