The Right Time and Place
April 15, 2008
Were I a tad younger, not gainfully employed in a stimulating and satisfying environment, and single, I’d be chomping at the bit for the Masters Fellowship at GMU. Alas I am 27, engaged, currently employed, and have recently completed a Master of Arts degree in Economics (a degree focused on the “Austrian” strain of this dismal science, since discontinued).
I think that a GMU fellowship could still be a gainful experience for me, but with two mortgage payments and without correspondence or online courses, it’s off the table. Since I don’t intend to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics (or any subject, for that matter), or professional scholarship, it’s kind of a moot point.

Likewise I would love to go, but it’s just not going to work to move there with current home situation.
*le sigh*
