Metablogging

I installed a sidebar element that is supposed to show my twitter feed, but it stopped rendering on my computer (Firefox 3.0). Can anyone see it?

I’m still not sold on the whole twitter idea, although Kip says it’s “just one more way to lose yourself in the internet!”, but using it in conjunction with Snipr allows me to make quick notes and save them to the twitter page hasn’t been a complete waste of time. I’m using the snips/tweets primarily to compile a nightly roundup of items I was too busy to give any substantial commentary. Which brings me to my other metablogging topic for tonight:

After syndicating a few posts at the LeftLibertarian.org, I’ve been invited to contribute there on a regular basis, which is pretty cool. LeftLibertarian should not consume too much of my time, or take away from my regular (irregular) blogging. I’m primarily contributing the nightly digest, syndicating some NoThirdSolution posts, however I may consider posting the occasional exclusive piece to LL.

The most recent edition of The Roundup published: November 24, 2008.

  1. The twitter widget appears to be working from here, also with FF3, though there is only one item showing on it and it is displaying next to your bookmarked items widget, forcing that one to be narrower than might be desirable.

If you have any kind of ad- or malware-blocking software, you might want to check its database to see if it’s preventing loading the widget for you locally.

I see the same screen display that Mike reports using FF 3.0 on Vista.

I jumped over to LeftLibertarian.org and it’s not clear to me if you get credit for your article there. If so, I did not see an indication of that. Am I missing something?

In the archive pages on LL, no author is indicated. On the main page, I’m credited, but not with a link. I can always link-whore my own posts, if I want to. Also, when I syndicate a post there, it does link back to this site.
