Passing by a local dry-cleaner last night while walking the dog, a sign in the window caught my eye. It read (more or less):
If you need your suit cleaned/pressed for an upcoming job interview, we’ll do it for free.
In light of Michigan’s 12% unemployment rate, I thought that was really cool. Community isn’t dead. Not yet, at least.
Have you seen anything like this? If so, feel free to post it in the comments.

How about putting in a plug for the cleaners by giving us a name? Every little bit helps.
There was a restaraunt in Birmingham, MI recently that had "Name your own price for your meal" day. I can not think of the name of the restaraunt.
Denny's did something similar recently too.
I'm not sure if there are other cleaners doing this, but we were featured on WDIV last night for this very same program. http://www.clickondetroit.com/community/19057424/…
We feel for those unemployed right now and wanted to do something to help.
That's awesome – I'm really glad to hear that people & businesses are reaching out to help one another. So there are at least two cleaners in my area running this program. The sign that I saw was for Camelot Cleaners, on Coolidge, in Berkley.
I miss Oakland County…except during the winters! But, I will be telling all of my relatives to patronize Camelot Cleaners. Community is very important.
