		<description>That&#039;s a good question Lisa, I don&#039;t really know what might happen. Probably nothing, but it&#039;s funny how governments usually have more resources available to bring the law down on small-time &quot;offenders&quot; like squatters and the like, rather than devoting those resources towards more pressing problems like the blight, the failing schools, the poverty &amp; crime, etc. If it is something you are considering, I would look in to the high-yield farming methods like square-foot farming, etc. What you want to do is minimize your impact &amp; visibility, but max the yield/output. You don&#039;t want to have to worry about 3 acres of land but you can get a lot of crop out of small backyard if the sun is right &amp; you know what you&#039;re doing.</description>

		<description>I just came across this from a google search.  My husband and I are looking into purchasing some vacant land from the city/county/state.  What a clusterfuck.  After going over the different hoops that would need to be jumped, and looking at a number of derelict properties, I said, &quot;What if we just squat?  Who&#039;s gonna care?&quot;  It&#039;s tempting, and I really am curious to know -- what would happen if we put up a hoop house and started farming one of those empty blocks?</description>
