Citibank is trying to gain regulatory permission for a $15B equity offering so that it can try to repay the TARP bailout money it received for its part in the largest swindle in history.
So they’re borrowing money to pay back more borrowed money. It would be funny (like stupid-funny), if it weren’t such a crime.
Citi borrowed money from the government who stole it from the people. The American government stepped in and handed $20B to Citigroup despite overwhelmingly public opposition to corporate bailouts (depending on who you ask, this was either the result of collusion or blackmail).
Now, Citigroup would like to offer us — the public — the opportunity to buy equity shares. The proceeds of this sale will then be used not as productive capital, but to simply repay the Government for the “loan” they granted of our money and without our permissions.
Citi is trying to sell equity to the people in order to raise cash to repay their “loan” from the government. And if the people don’t buy up these shares, the FED will. Either most of us are totally f*cked.
The men and women who were robbed (the first round cost an average of about $5,000 per taxpayer) by Uncle Sam to finance Citi’s TARP life support are not going to be “repaid”, instead the money will just be Hoovered up by the Government. The Government has no intentions of giving it back to us.
It’s a shell game. And we’re the marks.

Don’t know if I mentioned it here before or not, so I will now.
An individual should not waste valuable resources concerning himself with what the thief does with his plunder after said plunder has been removed from the individual. There is no point in doing that. Further, dwelling on such things causes them to fester over creating a callous, if you will, of permanence. You become inured, or used to it, you then expect more of it.
Instead you should focus totally on NOT allowing the thief to steal from you in the first place. This is difficult because of the way the culture has become indoctrinated, but not impossible.
You see, the thief is not just a thief. It is a cunning and despicable being that has done, and will do, anything at all in order to justify and support its own position including killing you. If it wants money it simply steals it or prints more. It doesn’t NEED your money because it can make its own. It steals your money as a means of controlling you, physically and mentally.
Having the efforts of your toil removed from you before you even possess it is a form of mental slavery and you have become used to that, feel there is nothing you can do about it and feel quite helpless. That is how the enslavement of mentality process rooted in stealing your money works. It makes you subserviant.
Start small, stay unnoticeable. If you like what you do at your current 9 to 5, do it for private people on the side if possible. Or do something else, something you find enjoyable, for private individuals in your spare time. Do it because you like to do it. Collect a little bit of money for it. Then do it again, and again, over and over. Collect cash only on these deals, and never put any of that cash in the bank as it is traceable to you by the IRS. Yes, the bank reports your transactions to the authorities and has for decades. Use this money to pay your electric bill, or your cellphone bill, in cash. Always in cash. Or, buy a money order but don’t buy it at the post office, remember, traceability. You don’t want that.
Doing this will empower you, make you aware that you can stand on your own two feet and independently carve out an existence for yourself. This new mindset will cause you to see further than you can right now and you will yearn and grasp for even more, and you will have it. In time you will leave your 9 to 5 as you will find it too costly to continue. You see, its not how much you make but rather how much you get to keep. What is the point in earning “A” if the thief continuously steals 50% of “A”? Why not just earn “A”/2 in the first place and cut out all the middle men?
Think.
Always be aware, there are BIG thieves and criminals everywhere and they usually wear coats and ties and work for ABC agency’s and they are *just doing their jobs* and following the *letter of the law* and you don’t matter.
This is the only life you are ever going to *own* so live it like you really own it rather than living it like someone gave it to you as a favor.
