Why, you ask? Because in my opinion the logic behind the idea of freedom is born inside everyone and it requires a special effort on the person to question whether freedom is the right thing. Therefore if the communist sympathizer is in my presence it will require all of my effort to not kill it right on the spot, so I avoid them as soon as their presence is known.
