Climate Scandal: Story of the Century, Ignored by Mainstream News
Today these are all front page news stories: Tiger Woods crashed his car, rumored to be be cheating on his wife. The daughter of a former president is engaged to be married. Black people are disproportionately impacted by the current economic depression. Dubai World is bankrupt. Obama vows to continue war in Afghanistan. Some guy shot and killed a few cops near Seattle. But all of the news outlets are ignoring* the story of the century. Scientists at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based. Pax Obama: War is Peace
The news lines are buzzing with reports that Obama was just handed the Nobel Peace Prize. Seriously. This is not a joke. The accomplishment worthy of Nobel, according to the Prize Committe, is “Diplomacy” lolwut? The full citation from the Nobel committee includes such gems as: Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. There is nothing exceptional or extraordinary about a Statesman practicing “diplomacy”. So it seems that Obama has been literally handed the Nobel Peace Prize for the singular virtue of not being George W. Bush. This is What a Police State Looks Like
Last week in Pittsburgh, the Group of 20 discussed, among other things, reforming the IMF (Providing liquidity to dictators and tyrants since 1944!) and resolved itself as the permanent world council for international economic cooperation, which is newspeak for the preservation of international economic oppression. Whatever objective brings together the most powerful people from the most powerful nations in the world, is not wholesome. They do not have the people’s interests in mind because the their interests are not the people’s.
